The Devil's Lettuce PRINT

Created this painting after my trip to Silver Springs Florida. I was canoeing with a friend when I looked over the edge of our boat to see my reflection in the water. The sun was directly behind me so my shadow fell over the water instead, and I could see directly beneath the surface. There were lily pads and flowers unfurled beneath the water- and it was all in the shape of my silhouette. As with a lot of my painting, they come from an intuitive place. It wasn't until after I had finished this painting that I realized it had been inspired by that particular moment.
