I lived in South korea for 4 years. One of the most common birds there is the magpie. They’re a daily sight on any commute as they live all over Seoul. There are a lot of myths about magpies in Korean culture but generally they’re seen as a symbol of good fortune. —Except when they’re being noisy and annoying city-dwellers of course.
